Thermally Pulsing AGB Models of Intermediate Mass Stars

چکیده
We present a set of models of AGB stars with initial mass larger than 5 M⊙ as obtained with the FRANEC code. It includes model of Z=0.02 and Z=0.001, with and without mass loss.

Nucleosynthesis of light elements inside thermally pulsing AGB stars I. The case of intermediate-mass stars
The structural and nucleosynthetic evolution of 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7M stars with two metallicities (Z = 0.005 and 0.02) has been computed in detail, from the early pre-main sequence phase up to the thermally pulsing (TP) AGB phase or the onset of off-center carbon burning. Typically 10 to 20 thermal pulses have been followed for each TP-AGB object. This homogeneous and quite large set of models all...
متن کاملStellar Models and Yields of Asymptotic Giant Branch Stars
We present stellar yields calculated from detailed models of low and intermediate-mass asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars. We evolve models with a range of mass from 1 to 6M⊙, and initial metallicities from solar to 1/200 of the solar metallicity. Each model was evolved from the zero age main sequence to near the end of the thermally-pulsing AGB (TP-AGB) phase, and through all intermediate pha...
متن کاملMg and Al Yields from Low and Intermediate Mass AGB stars
We investigate the production of aluminium and the heavy magnesium isotopes in asymptotic giant branch (AGB) models. We evolve models with a wide range in initial mass (1 > (M⊙) > 6) and composition (Z = 0.02,0.008,0.004). We evolve the models from the pre-main sequence, through all intermediate stages including the core helium flash, to near the end of the thermally-pulsing AGB phase. We then ...
متن کاملYields from single AGB stars
In order to understand the composition of planetary nebulae we first need to study the nucleosynthesis occurring in the progenitor star during the thermally-pulsing Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) phase. I present an overview of single AGB evolution, with an emphasis on the mixing processes that alter the envelope composition, followed by a discussion of the stellar yields available from single A...
متن کاملStructure, Evolution and Nucleosynthesis of Primordial Stars
The evolution of population III stars (Z = 0) is followed from the pre-main sequence phase up to the AGB phase for intermediate-mass stars and up to C ignition in more massive stars. Our grid includes 11 stars, covering the mass range 0.8 to 20 M . During the H and He core burning phases an overshooting characterized by d = 0.20HP was applied and during the AGB phase a small extension of the co...
